We are seeking a driven and technically strong Mechanical Engineer to join a growing organization in the Tampa area. This position will play a key role in supporting product design, process improvements, equipment optimization, and cross‑functional engineering initiatives within a fast‑paced manufacturing and engineering environment.

The ideal candidate is hands‑on, solutions‑oriented, and comfortable working closely with operations, production, quality, and leadership teams to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and improve mechanical components, systems, and assemblies using CAD software
  • Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and technical documentation
  • Support manufacturing and production teams with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and process improvements
  • Assist with product development, testing, validation, and implementation activities
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, quality, supply chain, and project teams to support engineering initiatives
  • Analyze equipment and system performance to identify opportunities for cost savings, increased reliability, and operational efficiency
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects related to safety, productivity, quality, and waste reduction
  • Support vendor coordination, equipment selection, and engineering change management processes
  • Ensure designs and engineering practices comply with applicable industry standards and safety requirements
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing, industrial, or product development environments preferred
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as Solid Works, AutoCAD, or Inventor
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and engineering fundamentals
  • Experience with troubleshooting, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives

    Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred Experience
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations or industrial equipment
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Project engineering or project management experience
  • Experience working directly with vendors, suppliers, or production teams
