Senior Civil Engineer (PE) – Transportation / Roadway FDOT – Tampa/Tavares/Orlando, Florida
Halff is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with a Florida Professional Engineer license to join our Florida Transportation / Roadway Practice in one of our Tampa, Tavares, or Orlando offices. The role focuses on delivering and managing FDOT roadway projects.
Responsibilities- Work under a Transportation Team Leader in developing roadway design projects for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).
- Collaborate with design staff, consultants, and clients to deliver projects that enhance roadway safety and growth.
- Assist in managing the workload of design staff, including Engineers, EITs, and technical staff.
- Help develop and manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Review transportation designs and detailed plans for accuracy and consistency.
- Report on project progress.
- Collaborate with clients and other consultants.
- Work with the Transportation Team Leader and Operations Manager on business development activities.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited).
- At least 8 years of civil, public works, or transportation project delivery experience, with 4+ years post-PE license preferred.
- FDOT experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida.
- Ability to lead projects and supervise technical staff.
- Demonstrated ability to design and review in Micro Station.
- Ability to design, oversee, and review roadway projects for FDOT and local municipalities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
