Senior Environmental Engineer
Location:
Tampa, FL. Compensation range: $110,000 to $150,000.
- Works effectively, both independently and in a team setting.
- Conducts field work at client sites to collect groundwater and soil data.
- Leads data collection efforts and research of projects as requested by project managers.
- Prepares environmental compliance documents, permits, plans, and procedures.
- Knowledgeable of regulatory standards in environmental technical areas.
- Interacts with customers and clients.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Exercises safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs.
- Participates in the company’s continuous improvement programs and provides support to team efforts.
- Keeps up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops.
- Experience supporting business development activities, including proposal preparation, client acquisition, and expansion of services with existing clients.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering (preferably civil, environmental, or chemical) or related technical field from an accredited four‑year college or university.
- Possesses a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work well under pressure with multiple deadlines.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of business software (Microsoft Office, Outlook).
- 8+ years of environmental engineering experience with industrial, municipal, state, and federal clientele.
- Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Petroleum Restoration Program experience preferred.
- OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER preferred.
- Travel up to 5% of the time.
Prior experience with petroleum site assessment and remediation is desired.
