Ultimately, we seek to have ownership in each of the major disciplines that we offer, and we would like to achieve that as well with Electrical Engineering, which is in transition. We are based in South Tampa, West Central Florida and do work all over Central Florida for clients that take us both North and South of the Bay. Vehicular travel is required but out of State travel is rare and overnight travel is rare.

We are old school, and while we appreciate the hybrid environment, we prefer the workspace to collaborate internally here with our other colleagues. We collaborate closely with our internal disciplines daily and help everyone succeed in a team environment. We also utilize the latest technology and do collaborate with other consultants in other venues as well as other parts of the world.

Design and prepare electrical construction documents and specifications for building renovations and new construction projects.

Design power, lighting, and signal systems for Commercial, Educational, Industrial and Governmental buildings. Work with the Architectural and Mechanical engineering team members to provide the electrical design to meet the building, equipment and systems requirements and standards. Preference will be given to knowledge and experience working with Building Information Models and specifically Autodesk's REVIT program as we are fully 3D and BIM compliant.

Perform calculations for lighting, power equipment, distribution, conductor sizing, fault calculations and coordination of electrical devices and overall system. Utilize software programs to design lighting to meet State and ASHRAE energy requirements and have the ability to perform energy analysis for sustainable practices. LEED knowledge and ability are essential. Ability to design and apply low voltage systems including data networks, telephone, mass notification, CCTV, security and Fire Alarm systems.

Division 27/28 experience is also required. Must possess leadership abilities and good client maintenance skills. Must be a team player able to work with a wide variety of other professionals and find unique solutions to challenging problems. Incorporate LEED design criteria in the areas of energy efficiency and design innovation such as daylight harvesting and alternative energy sources. Participate in the LEED building credential program on designated projects.

Prepare construction drawings utilizing AUTOCAD and REVIT software platforms for signing and sealing in accordance with Florida Laws. Utilize Federal, State and Local Codes to prepare Code compliant designs. Perform field investigation of existing conditions for new and renovation projects. Participate in punchout of completed projects. Assume project manager leadership role on prime electrical projects. Meet with clients to assess their needs and provide solutions.

Prepare cost estimates for design to meet scope and budget requirements.

• 5 years experience minimum - with Florida PE License REQUIRED
• Ability to lead people and projects for various clients and a GREAT ATTITIUDE is needed!
• Demonstrated computer modeling experience in REVIT
