Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Overview

I’m supporting a market-leading, water-focused engineering consultancy with a senior hire within their Infrastructure practice in Tampa.

This is a true senior role for a Professional Engineer who wants ownership. You’ll lead complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects from concept through construction, manage teams, engage directly with utility clients, and play a visible role in shaping and winning future work.

This is not a back-office design position. It’s a delivery, leadership, and client-facing role.

• Lead the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects including pipelines, pump stations, and storage facilities
• Take full ownership of scope, schedule, budget, and quality
• Act as engineer of record and make independent technical decisions
• Manage and mentor engineers and coordinate subconsultants
• Build and maintain relationships with municipal and utility clients
• Support proposals, interviews, and business development activity

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Active Professional Engineer license
• 10+ years of water or wastewater infrastructure design experience
• At least 5 years in a project or team leadership role
• Experience through design and construction phases
• Confident managing clients, teams, and multiple projects

• Senior-level autonomy and decision-making authority
• Strong backlog of work and long-term stability
• Exposure to large, complex capital infrastructure programmes
• Clear progression for engineers who want to move into technical and client leadership

This role is based in Florida, where salary ranges are not published. Compensation aligns with senior-level responsibility and PE accountability.
