As a Civil Engineer specializing in drainage, you will play a key role in delivering technically complex projects that support transportation networks, municipal systems, and land development initiatives. Your expertise will influence project outcomes from initial analysis through design, permitting, and construction.

Core Responsibilities- Design and deliver drainage and stormwater engineering solutions for transportation, municipal, and land development projects
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to evaluate drainage systems and stormwater performance
- Develop drainage reports, calculations, construction documents, specifications, and technical plans
- Engineer storm sewer systems, culverts, detention/retention facilities, and erosion control measures
- Apply industry standards and regulatory requirements to ensure successful project delivery
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to coordinate project design and execution
- Support project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations
- Coordinate with clients, permitting agencies, municipalities, and project stakeholders
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developing engineering staff
- Contribute to proposal development, client engagement, and business development efforts as experience and interest allow
- Support continuous improvement of design processes, technical standards, and project delivery strategies
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in drainage and stormwater engineering
- Experience supporting transportation, municipal, or land development projects
- Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling principles
- Understanding of Florida drainage standards, permitting requirements, and regulatory processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality technical work

- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain Florida PE through reciprocity

- Experience with floodplain analysis and stormwater management permitting
- Experience supporting proposals, client relationships, or business development initiatives
- Project management experience with increasing leadership responsibilities
- Interest in combining technical expertise with client-facing opportunities
