Experienced Avionics Technician (2nd Shift) - Tampa, FL
DescriptionWe are hiring immediately for an Avionics Technician.
Responsibilities- Functional testing: isolate and repair avionics system issues based on customer complaints, following FAA procedures.
- Problem diagnosis: analyze in‑flight data and customer feedback to diagnose and correct issues.
- Troubleshooting: identify and resolve defects in units or wiring discrepancies.
- Component replacement: replace defective units, repair wiring, and modify aircraft as needed.
- Flight testing: accompany pilots to conduct functional tests on repaired or aligned systems as needed.
- Instruction compliance: perform duties based on aircraft orders, wiring diagrams, and oral and written instructions.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in aircraft avionics system troubleshooting and repair.
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification is helpful.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security badge through the local airport authority (if applicable).
