Role OverviewAs a Water Resources Designer/EIT, you will work under project engineers applying design engineering and modeling techniques to water resource projects for federal, state, and local municipalities.
Responsibilities- Apply hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater collection systems modeling, data collection, assimilation, and presentations.
- Work on projects including flood control, river design, stream grade control structures, dike systems, levees, stream channel restoration/rehabilitation, wetland and lake restoration, watershed issues, non-point source loading, and point source design.
- Produce design calculations, draft technical reports, and perform water resources studies.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
- Candidate without an EIT will be assigned a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
- Preference given to local candidates.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent field.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, standard CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software.
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to complete tasks.
