As a Mechanical Engineer II in our Tampa office, you will help empower clients to achieve energy‑efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.
ResponsibilitiesWithin our team framework, you will initially work with and be mentored by experienced engineers and will also help mentor designers. Initial assignments include performing load calculations, determining system sizing and layouts, calculating equipment sizes, selecting equipment, completing field surveys, and reviewing equipment shop drawings. As you gain project experience, you will lead mechanical project teams, write specifications, participate in project meetings with clients and consultants, and support construction‑phase work.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, architectural, or another engineering discipline from an accredited program.
- EIT certification (passed the FE exam) a plus.
- 3+ years of experience designing HVAC building systems in technically sophisticated facilities.
- Experience designing piping/plumbing systems for healthcare, laboratory, industrial or institutional facilities a plus.
- Internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field preferred.
- Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs (e.g. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.
- Strong spoken and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization and time‑management skills.
- Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes.
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
