Job Role s and Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of electrical systems including power, lighting, low‑voltage signal, and related building systems.
  • Develop and review electrical designs using Revit, AutoCAD, and CAD software.
  • Perform and oversee electrical calculations including service and distribution, conductor sizing, short‑circuit coordination, photometric analysis, and energy code compliance.
  • Coordinate with architectural and engineering teams to produce accurate and buildable construction documents.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely project completion.
  • Collaborate with clients to provide technical guidance on project scope, budgets, schedules, and engineering solutions.
  • Participate in field investigations, construction administration, and resolve technical issues during project execution.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, perform quality assurance inspections, and troubleshoot field issues.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project presentations.
  • Mentor junior engineering staff and support technical development within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety standards, and project requirements.
Qualifications And Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Minimum five years of relevant building systems design experience after obtaining PE licensure.
  • Proven experience in electrical system design, project management, and construction oversight.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other CAD software.
  • Strong knowledge of lighting design, power distribution, and applicable building codes.
  • Experience with low‑voltage systems including data, security, CCTV, mass notification, and fire alarm coordination.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedules and resource allocation.
  • Strong leadership, communication, client management, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with generators, UPS systems, EV charging infrastructure, photovoltaic systems, or commissioning is preferred.
  • Additional certifications related to electrical safety or project management are a plus.
  • Interest in sustainable and high‑performance building design is preferred.
