Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Protection)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of mechanical building systems for healthcare and commercial projects. This position is responsible for designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems while managing project execution, mentoring junior engineers, and coordinating with clients, regulatory agencies, and construction teams. The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer with strong technical expertise and experience delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
Design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for commercial and healthcare facilities.
Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and project oversight.
Prepare and review construction drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
Coordinate with clients to define project requirements and provide project status updates.
Work with regulatory agencies to obtain permits and ensure code compliance.
Perform construction administration duties, including site visits, reviewing shop drawings, attending project meetings, and supporting change orders and project closeout documentation.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
6-20 years of mechanical engineering experience.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
Proficiency with Revit.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
