Overview
Water Resources Engineering Team Leader – Tampa, Florida. Singhofen Halff has an immediate opening for an experienced Professional Water Resources Engineer with a Florida PE License to fulfill the role of Team Leader specializing in Water Resources in Tampa, FL. This leadership position aims to expand the water resources practice in Florida. The candidate will work with FEMA, FDOT, Water Management Districts, FDEP, and local municipalities.

- Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor staff to ensure successful project delivery and operational performance. - Project Delivery & Financial Management:
Oversee complex water resources projects, ensuring on-time, within-scope, and on-budget delivery; manage team performance and financial targets. - Business Development & Client Engagement:
Contribute to business development, cultivate relationships with new and existing clients, and assist in strategic market growth planning. - Technical Expertise:
Provide technical guidance in designing drainage systems and performing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using riverine and stormwater models. - Strategic Planning:
Align team efforts with broader company goals, collaborating with Directors and Operations Managers to address resource and operational challenges. - Leadership Development:
Foster professional development by coaching staff and staying current with industry trends and technologies. - Staff Management:
Manage subordinate staff, ensure milestones and budgets are met, and exercise appropriate personnel actions. - Project Oversight:
Oversee multiple Water Resources projects simultaneously, ensuring quality and client satisfaction. - Client Relationships:
Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle. - Technical Problem Solving:
Provide leadership in design, analysis, and resolution of complex technical challenges. - Quality & Compliance:
Ensure deliverables meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. - Budget & Resource Management:
Monitor project budgets, allocate resources effectively, and identify profitability opportunities. - Risk Management:
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize adverse impacts.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or ABET-accredited equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Water Resources project delivery
- Professional Engineering (PE) License in the state of Florida
- Technical experience with ICPR4 (Stormwise) and GIS
- Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, water resources planning, and design for private and public stormwater infrastructure
- Proficient in project management, administration, and supervision of technical staff
- Proven track record of leading projects from inception to completion
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Business development experience
- Positive, self-directed team player with a focus on quality, integrity, and success
- Ability to travel to project sites and access job sites and construction areas
