Quality Engineering, Process Engineer
Quality Engineer / Direct Hire, FTE / Greater Tampa Bay Area, onsite, 4x10 work schedule / $65-120K annual salary
Required Skills:
- Proven experience (10 years) in quality engineering or related role within a manufacturing or technical environment.
- Strong understanding of quality tools and methodologies.
- Proficient in engineering data interpretation and definitions (e.g., drawings, reports, datasets, and specifications) to be able to analyze and resolve quality issues.
- Working knowledge of Solid Works 3D modeling software and Solid Works PDM software.
- Maintains a working knowledge of government and Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) regulations and their impact on conformity and compliance (i.e., certification, qualification).
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE) or Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt) is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of AS9100 or other relevant quality standards.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis, problem-solving techniques, and continuous improvement tools.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Experience with statistical software and data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel).
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and test reports.
- Proficient in technical report writing and must have excellent communication skills, be fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams.
- Some travel may be required to other areas including Canada.
Pay for this position is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
