Our client is a comprehensive civil engineering firm in Florida that has provided services since 1989. They are a professional civil engineering company specializing in every aspect of transportation, from highway and traffic design to traffic operations and transportation planning. Our client’s team of experienced professionals has the expertise necessary to deliver any transportation planning or design project for their clients.

We are seeking a Licensed Professional Surveyor for our Tampa, FL office. This is a responsible position that involves advanced professional surveying and mapping work of a complex nature with extensive supervisory duties. Performs the surveying and mapping functions for roadway improvement projects and other survey assignments as required. This is a hands-on, project-responsible position, and will focus on their public and private client base.

You will also be responsible for business and staff development.

Minimum Qualifications:

Registration by the Florida State Board of Professional Surveyors and Mappers as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM), plus five (5) years of progressively responsible post-licensure land survey experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • FDOT experience is a plus
  • Experience with Leica Pegasus II, mobile LiDAR equipment
Responsibilities:
  • Design survey and report production, and client deliverables
  • Planning, coordination, and timely completion of field surveying for assigned projects
  • Managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Interact and communicate with the project team, clients, and other consultants
  • Participate in business development opportunities and maintain strong client relationships
  • Effectively interface with sub-consultants and as well as other business relationships
  • Define assignments/deliverables to team members
  • Ability to oversee, mentor and motivate a team
  • Working knowledge of Micro Station or Open Roads Designer (ORD) and Microsoft Office Programs
