Sales Engineer – Bulk Material Handling & Process Systems
(Mechanical background | Production lines, conveying & processing equipment)
Our client is a global leader in engineered process and material handling systems; and we're hiring a Sales Engineer with a mechanical mindset to help grow their footprint across North and Central America.
If you've spent your career around production lines, conveying systems, bulk solids handling, or process equipment, whether that's in food, chemicals, plastics, pharma, or industrial manufacturing, this role gives you the chance to bring that technical fluency into a customer-facing, deal-closing capacity.
You don't need food industry experience, but any experience in that sector would be a bonus. What matters is that you understand how mechanical and process systems work, can read a flow diagram, and know how to translate technical capability into a compelling customer solution.
What You'll Be Selling Engineered systems including:- Pneumatic & mechanical conveying (screws, elevators, belts, dilute/dense phase)
- Recipe & production management software
- Owning sales and bookings targets across your assigned region
- Building relationships with new and existing customers — plus major engineering firms
- Leading proposal development, cost estimates, and negotiations
- Collaborating with our applications engineering team on flow diagrams and system calculations
- Presenting at exhibitions, conferences, and customer meetings
- Managing your pipeline in Salesforce
- Handing off won projects cleanly to our engineering team
- Partnering regularly with international colleagues
- A mechanical/engineering mindset, ideally a bachelor's in engineering, or 5+ years' hands-on experience with bulk material handling, conveying, or technical/estimated proposals
- 3+ years in a technical sales, applications, or engineering role (any industrial sector — food/beverage, chemical, plastics, industrial equipment, etc.)
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Comfort managing multiple proposals and priorities at once
- A valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available, incl. H-1B)
