You will provide high-level engineering oversight for multidisciplinary project teams and specialty subcontractors, interface directly with the EPA, state regulatory agencies, and industrial clients, and ensure all engineering deliverables meet the highest standards of technical excellence, environmental compliance, and constructability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engineer of Record (EOR) Leadership:
Sign, seal, review, and approve critical engineering deliverables, work plans, technical specifications, and construction document packages.

Lead end-to-end Remedial Design (RD) and Remedial Action (RA) execution through site closeout and final construction completion.
  • Multidisciplinary Team Oversight:
Direct and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering disciplines, field technicians, and specialty remediation subcontractors.
  • Regulatory Agency Engagement:
Serve as the primary technical liaison to the EPA, state environmental protection departments, municipal authorities, and key client stakeholders.
  • Construction & Field Support:
Provide technical direction for complex field operations, including site demolition, deep excavation, in-situ remediation, contaminated materials management, dewatering/groundwater treatment, and ecological site restoration.
  • Quality Assurance & Mentorship:
Drive technical quality management, regulatory adherence, and professional mentoring for mid-level and junior environmental engineering staff.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Licensure:
Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Florida in good standing (licensure in additional Southwestern states is a benefit).
  • Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience:

  • EOR Track Record:
Demonstrated experience serving as the Engineer of Record or Lead Design Engineer on complex, large-scale environmental remediation projects.
  • Leadership & Subcontractor Management:
Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary technical teams, specialty consultants, and remediation contractors.
  • Field & Construction Expertise:
Extensive hands-on experience with environmental construction oversight, remedial design implementation, and constructability reviews.
Desired Qualifications

  • Proven track record on Superfund and National Priorities List (NPL) site cleanups.
  • Deep technical expertise in large-scale soil/groundwater remediation, In-Situ Stabilization/Solidification (ISS), or Deep Soil Mixing (DSM).
  • Extensive experience preparing comprehensive Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) documentation, permit applications, and technical specifications.
