Civil Project Engineer (Land Development)

Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare engineering plans, calculations, technical reports, and supporting documentation for land development projects
- Design grading, drainage, stormwater management, water quality systems, utility infrastructure, and site improvements
- Develop construction plans and design documents for residential and commercial developments
- Coordinate project activities with internal departments, outside consultants, agencies, and clients
- Participate in project design reviews, production meetings, and project planning discussions
- Assist with project requirements, scheduling, cost estimates, and implementation strategies
- Lead permitting efforts with local, state, and federal agencies
- Ensure compliance with zoning ordinances, municipal requirements, and development regulations
- Resolve field design issues during construction and provide technical support to project stakeholders
Qualifications (Needed)
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- EIT certification required;
Florida PE license strongly preferred - Minimum 3-8+ years of Civil Engineering and Land Development experience
- Strong experience designing residential, commercial, and site development projects
- Experience with grading, drainage, stormwater systems, utility design, and permitting
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience performing stormwater modeling utilizing ICPR and/or SWMM
- GIS experience preferred
- Experience with single-family residential and master-planned community developments preferred
- Roadway design experience involving collector and arterial roadways is a plus
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate stakeholders, and meet project deadlines
- Strong technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills
