Engineering Summer Intern
Wade Trim is seeking an Engineering Summer Intern for our Water Resources group in our Tampa office. Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering (freshman or sophomore status preferred) and possess a valid driver's license. Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required and knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, Micro Station, or Revit is preferred. Candidates must be self-motivated, very organized and have excellent communication skills.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Perform routine calculations under senior engineer
- Obtain drawings from local municipalities
- Perform data analysis of continuous flow and rainfall data
- Copy and scan project related drawings
- Assist engineer with development of spreadsheet tools
- Ability to work with project managers and engineers and take direction from them
- Work with the Planning department
- Work with the Design (structural) department
- Work with the Hydraulic and Hydrology department
- Communicate effectively with engineering staff and clients
- Maintain excellent client relations
- Maintain a safe working environment
Education:
- Pursing Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

- Valid Driver's License
