Parts Counter Sales Representative

Overview

Florida Powertrain & Hydraulics, Inc. (FPT) is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Parts Counter Sales Associate to join our Tampa location (6501 Adamo Drive, Tampa, Florida 33619). This role is a critical first point of contact for customers and plays a key part in supporting daily operations, invoicing, vendor coordination, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate has basic industry knowledge, strong communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

• Serve as the first point of contact for walk-in customers and incoming inquiries
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive customer relationships
• Assist with order processing and coordinating orders with vendors
• Support counter operations and help manage customer flow as needed
• Work closely with technicians and leadership to ensure smooth daily workflow
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Utilize basic computer systems for order entry, invoicing, and communication
• Assist with product-related questions involving core products such as:
  Power Take Offs (PTOs), Pumps, Drivelines

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
• Dependable with reliable transportation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good basic computer skills
• Some knowledge of the powertrain, hydraulics, or related industry preferred
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy shop environment
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support where needed

• Previous counter, parts, or customer-facing experience in a mechanical, automotive, or industrial setting
• Exposure to powertrain or hydraulic components is a plus but not required
