Seasonal Scare Actor

responsibilities

• perform as a character to startle and scare guests at busch gardens tampa’s howl‑o‑scream events.
• consistently deliver multiple scares repetitively throughout the night.
• clock in and out at the beginning and end of assigned shifts.
• take and implement direction from persons of authority.
• maintain a tidy and safe work area.
• work well with a diverse group of co‑workers.

• must be at least 18 years of age.
• must be available to work potentially between 5:00pm and 2:00am on rehearsal and event nights.
• must be available for the majority of event nights.
• many positions require wearing makeup, costume masks, helmets, wigs, or hats; all costumes are provided by bgt and remain the property of bgt.
• must be able to perform an assigned character for up to 2hours at a time.
• must be able to stand, walk, climb, bend, reach overhead, grasp, and perform fine manipulation tasks frequently.
• work both indoors and outdoors, exposed to a variety of weather conditions, including heat/cold extremes, chemical fumes, dust, odor, and lighting variations.
• performers are expected to supply their own black pants, black socks, black shoes, and black shirt.
