- Daily inspection of equipment and tools.
- Ability to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work cooperatively as a team or along to efficiently complete assigned tasks.
- Report on time ready to take directions from the Manager on Duty.
- Daily clean-up of equipment and work areas.
- Maintain thorough communication skills and to ask questions when clarification is required.
- Routinely review project schedules with Manager on Duty and site staff.
- Monitor work site for equipment and boom lift accessibility as well as site tidiness.
- Maintain safe work practices regarding lifting, fall protection, and equipment usage.
- Cleans up work sites after the completion of each project.
- Other duties as assigned by shift lead or management.
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Be willing to work outdoors and, if necessary, during inclement weather as safety permits.
- Be comfortable working around loud noises, vibrations, flashes of light and strobe FX.
- Be willing to work a variety of shifts including overnight shifts between the hours of 6pm and 6am during specific times of the year.
- Be willing to work within a team-oriented environment.
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Exemplify an ability to quickly adapt to change.
- Demonstrate an ability to pay attention to details within a high-paced work environment.
- Have reliable transportation to work.
- Enjoy solving problems with a solutions driven approach to the operation.
- Keep safety a priority while completing assignments.
- Previous experience in the technical entertainment or theme park entertainment industries.
- Knowledge of basic scenic decor construction / fabrication techniques.
This position requires a full understanding and proper execution of safety standards set by Magic in the Sky, LLC. and our Clients. MITS Entertainment Technicians will be trained on site by staff trainers and all safety equipment required will be provided by Magic in the Sky, LLC. This includes, but is not limited to, Fall Arrest Harnesses. Technicians are asked to provide gloves, multi-tool, and any other personal items they may require.
All technical positions may require employees to work in environments that utilize technical equipment and effects that emit loud noises, strobing or flashing lights, stage fog, pyrotechnic debris, vibrations, and high temperatures.
