Carterwill Search is actively engaged in the recruitment of a Controller (100% remote).

Ideal Qualifications
  • CPA (not mandatory)
  • Revenue Recognition knowledge (ASC 606, IFRS 15, or IFRS 16)
  • P&Ls (multiple P&L experience)
  • M&A (buy side) experience
  • Net Suite (not mandatory, but ERP experience)
Responsibilities
  • GL Accounting:
    • Ensure monthly financials are distributed timely and accurately, while keeping up with the continuous changing tasks of the month-end close process.
    • Recommend improvements to the month-end close processes as needed.
    • Assist in handling the day-to-day operations, ensuring all basic accounting functions are being performed properly.
    • Approve various account reconciliations and assist in resolving any discrepancies timely.
    • Coordinate Intercompany Transactions.
  • Corporate Accounting Functions:
    • Assist in various internal and external audit requests.
    • Assist in the commission and bonus process.
  • Other Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate with the SVP of Finance to develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day finance operational systems and processes, providing the SVP with visibility into the progress and obstacles of key initiatives.
    • Analyze key metrics for day-to-day operations to ensure the success of assigned initiatives and monitor that all projects are executed effectively. Deliver monthly reports and flag key areas of improvement, while helping with corrective decisions to improve the Finance department's performance.
    • Manage special projects, monitor the implementation of organizational projects, and balance project requirements, risks, and opportunities with executable strategies to meet timelines and deliverables.
    • Act as the liaison within the organization and collaborate regularly with all stakeholders to share changes when implementing new initiatives.
Qualifications
  • 7-10 years of related experience required.
  • 5+ years of managerial experience required.
  • Exceptional time management, organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Must have a roll-up your sleeves work ethic.
  • Full understanding of Revenue Recognition
  • Proficient in Excel (must be able to create advanced formulas).
  • Must have a strong ability to analyze a P&L statement and balance sheet.
  • Familiarity with Net Suite highly recommended.
