We are hiring! Atkins Realis is seeking an experienced and hands-on Corporate Controller to join our team in Tampa, FL.

The USA Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations related to the Management Reporting and Statutory Reporting of our USA entities. While managing a team of professional accountants, the Controller works closely with our Financial Shared Services Centers, the FP&A Manager, as well as, with our Business Unit Finance Directors.

The role also includes close and ongoing liaison with the Global Corporate Reporting, Treasury, Tax and Accounting Norms & Compliance teams on all financial reporting, risk, audit, and internal control matters.

This is a hybrid position that requires to be on-site 3 days a week and reports directly into the USA CFO.

How will you contribute to the team?

• Responsible and accountable for the controllership and statutory reporting of all USA and Puerto Rico legal entities.
• Ensure financial record systems and processes are maintained in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as well as with company standard procedures.
• Provide high-quality financial direction while overseeing the general accounting and statutory financial reporting function.
• Maintain a system of internal controls over financial reporting
• Plan, organize and oversee the period-end close processes.
• Responsible for the monthly accounting activities including review of the journal entries, account reconciliations and analyses.
• Responsible for the preparation and analysis of cashflow statements.
• Hands-On approach to coordinating and preparing all statutory financial filings.
• Manage accounting team and responsible for hiring, training, providing feedback and mentoring staff members.
• Ensure that all period-end internal financial reporting deadlines are met.

  Réalis policies, procedures, and internal controls over financial reporting are implemented and operating effectively.
• Takes a proactive and hands-on approach in identifying, communicating and resolving accounting/reporting matters, as well as, collaborating with and acting as a liaison between Finance Business Partners and Financial Shared Services.
• Responsible to lead the internal/external audits and to follow up and resolve outstanding audit recommendations as required.
• Act as change leader and support the implementation of new tools and processes.
• Facilitate the financial integration of acquisitions.
• Cultivate a continuous improvement mindset.

• Professional accounting designation (CPA, Chartered Accountant or equivalent).
• BS Accounting or equivalent required;
  Advance degree preferred
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in finance in a similar role, and with similar controllership experience in terms of size, operations and global complexity.
• Minimum of 5 years in managing employees.
• English – Full professional proficiency.
