At RFS®, we don’t just manage projects—we build lasting partnerships. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for an Assistant Director of Finance & Accounting (ADFA) to partner closely with our CFO and help strengthen the financial foundation of our growing organization.
This role is ideal for a confident, detail-driven finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys blending hands-on execution with strategic impact.
What You’ll DoAs the Assistant Director of Finance & Accounting, you’ll play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities Include:- Supporting the CFO with annual budgeting, forecasting, and quarterly variance analysis
- Ensuring GAAP-compliant revenue and expense recognition
- Strengthening internal controls, accounting policies, and audit readiness
- Overseeing fixed assets, capital planning, and cost management initiatives
- Partnering with HR, Accounting, IT, and external CPAs to ensure tax and regulatory compliance
- Supporting quarterly financial reporting, MD&A preparation, and performance metrics
- Improved profitability and financial clarity
- Clean internal and external audits
- Accurate, timely, GAAP-compliant financial reporting
- Strong collaboration across Finance, Operations, and HR
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting or finance leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial controls, and compliance
- High integrity, attention to detail, and a strong sense of ownership
- CPA license, MBA, or Master’s degree with focus in Accouting
- Experience in construction or project-based environments
- Proven experience with HR compliance and leadership
