Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to support all aspects of income tax provision, compliance, and intercompany processes for a growing, multi‑entity organization. This role is ideal for a hands‑on professional who can work independently, manage complex tax workflows, and support critical reporting requirements across U.S. and international jurisdictions. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, analytical, and comfortable collaborating across accounting, finance, and external advisory teams.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare work papers and supporting schedules for quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations.
- Support preparation of annual U.S. federal and international tax compliance requirements, including relevant forms and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure timely completion of provision and compliance deliverables.
- Prepare various indirect and local tax filings, including sales & use
, property
, withholding
, and other required tax returns. - Assist with maintaining and implementing transfer pricing policies
, including updating documentation and coordinating calculation of intercompany charges. - Track and maintain intercompany balances, including interest, loans, trade payables, and other cross‑entity activity.
- Prepare and post journal entries related to tax provision, intercompany activity, and quarterly clearing.
- Support compliance across multiple jurisdictions and assist with special projects as needed.
- Partner with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and consistency in tax‑related processes.
- Maintain organized documentation, perform technical research when needed, and assist with continuous process improvements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Tax, or related field.
- CPA required.
- 5‑7 years of relevant work experience (public accounting or multinational company experience strongly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of ASC 740
, income tax accounting principles, and U.S. corporate tax regulations. - Experience preparing U.S. federal corporate returns; international compliance exposure a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills, including ability to work with large datasets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to clearly explain tax positions and reasoning.
- Highly organized, detail‑focused, and capable of managing multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and produce accurate, high‑quality work.
- Hybrid schedule
- Candidate must be local to the region.
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
