We are currently seeking a Financial Manager for a heavy civil construction client of ours in Tampa, FL. The Financial Manager serves as the direct line of communication between the accounting department and the Vice President.

A growing infrastructure-focused organization is seeking a Finance Manager to support its transportation operations in Tampa, Florida. This role acts as a key liaison between field operations and executive leadership, ensuring financial performance, reporting accuracy, and strategic alignment across projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee preparation and analysis of profit and loss statements for assigned operational groups
  • Conduct recurring financial performance reviews, including overhead analysis and forecasting
  • Identify financial risks and elevate significant concerns to senior finance leadership
  • Prepare executive-level financial summaries and performance narratives
  • Support annual business planning and forecasting processes
  • Lead training and development initiatives related to financial procedures and controls
  • Mentor accounting and field personnel to promote professional growth
  • Coordinate financial documentation and analysis related to project claims
  • Conduct periodic site visits to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Participate in project stakeholder meetings and support client‑facing financial discussions
  • Develop and refine analytical reporting tools to enhance visibility and decision‑making
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5–7 years of experience in project‑based or construction accounting preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed
