A large infrastructure and construction-focused organization is seeking a Project Controller to support major projects based in Miami, Florida. This role plays a critical part in overseeing financial performance on high-value, complex projects and serves as a key partner to operations leadership.
The Project Controller will be responsible for cost oversight, forecasting accuracy, billing coordination, and financial compliance throughout the lifecycle of large-scale projects. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

- Oversee profit and loss reporting for large, high-value contracts
- Lead detailed cost forecasting and financial performance analysis
- Coordinate owner billing processes and ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Review cost reports line-by-line to validate expenses and allocations
- Ensure all costs and billings are recorded in the appropriate accounting periods
- Monitor outstanding accounts receivable and partner with operations leadership on collections
- Provide financial insights and analytical support to senior operations leaders
- Report financial risks, issues, and findings to finance leadership and project teams
- Mentor and guide project accounting staff, supporting their professional development
- Represent the organization in owner and joint venture meetings as needed
- Support job closeout processes, including final documentation and resolution of open items
- Assist with financial documentation related to legal matters and claims
- Prepare journal entries for sensitive or confidential cost items
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in construction or project-based accounting required
- Experience with ERP systems preferred
- Ability to read and interpret financial statements and cost reports
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with subcontractors and leadership
- Willingness to travel occasionally as project needs require
