Description

Position Summary

The Controller will manage financial and accounting functions, ensures that accounting procedures conform to GAAP, and that internal policies and controls are followed.

Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties

+ Prepares and r oversees the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual, and periodic accounting and financial information including variance reports, budgets, financial statements, and forecasts

+ Ensures integrity of financial records by maintaining a strong internal control environment in compliance with GAAP

+ Prepares analyses for and acts as liaison with internal and external auditors

+ Manages month-end close process

+ Manages implementation of corporate accounting-related initiatives

+ Assists with the preparation of the annual operating budget

+ Evaluates and recommends changes to accounting and accounting-related policies, procedures, practices, and methods

+ Trains and supports staff in a variety of areas

+ Prepares ad hoc reports and works on special projects as requested

Requirements

+ Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA preferred

+ 7+ years senior-level finance or accounting experience

+ Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles

+ Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems

+ Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections

+ Working knowledge of short- and long-term budgeting and forecasting
