Overview
KLH Capital is seeking a high-performing investment professional to join our Investment Team in a career-track role. Level and title will be commensurate with experience.
This role is ideal for an individual with private equity, industrial industry and value creation experience. The candidate will help drive KLH’s efforts across the investment life cycle including deal evaluation, deal execution, debt and equity capital raising, portfolio management, and exit of portfolio investments. Additionally, the candidate will further expand the reach of the firm by building trust‑based relationships with key parties (e.g., investors, bankers, portfolio company executives, investment targets, advisors and limited partners) while serving as a trusted partner to the senior leaders of the firm.
ResponsibilitiesDeal Origination & Evaluation
:
- Create and maintain deal flow databases by identifying potential targets and preparing company‑specific due diligence reports and analysis
- Profile investment opportunities and take a leading role in research and analysis on prospective investments
- Conduct market and industry research; develop company‑specific analyses and due diligence reports
- Present opportunities and stage‑gated updates to the Investment Committee
Investments & Diligence
:
- Lead core transaction work streams, including financial modeling, valuation, and structuring
- Develop investor and lender presentations
- Design and manage due diligence frameworks (financial, legal, operational, IT, HR, insurance, benefits, etc.)
- Coordinate advisors, lenders, third‑party diligence providers, and internal stakeholders
- Assist in negotiation of LOIs, purchase and credit agreements, and other key agreements
Portfolio Management & Value Creation
:
- Build trust‑based relationships with portfolio company executives and senior leadership
- Monitor portfolio performance, key risks, and capital structure considerations
- Partner with Operating Partners to develop and execute value creation plans
- Support strategic initiatives, add‑on acquisitions, and exit preparation
Firm Development
:
- Mentor and develop junior investment team members
- Stay informed on capital markets and regulatory considerations
- Maintain strong relationships with limited partners and external stakeholders
- Contribute to the firm’s reputation and long‑term growth
- Demonstrated M&A and buy‑side transaction execution experience
- Experience in the industrials sector, and long‑term value creation
- 3‑8 years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, transaction advisory, or a related field
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities
- Deep understanding of accounting, finance, and capital structure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to confidently engage with senior executives and external partners
- Strong grasp of financial statements, modeling, and valuation techniques
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Grit, intellectual curiosity, and a collaborative mindset
- Desire to work in a close‑knit, friendly, ethical environment
- In‑person collaboration and team engagement
The position is a Tampa, FL based role, with frequent travel required. Consideration for the position includes market‑based salary, bonus, benefits and equity incentives.
