Job Description
The Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A will play a critical role in financial planning, performance management, and investor-grade reporting for a SaaS-based healthcare organization. This role is responsible for corporate and lender reporting, budgeting and forecasting, monthly variance analysis, and long-term financial modeling. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, sponsor-driven environment with high expectations for accuracy, speed, and insight.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & Analysis
- Lead development and ongoing maintenance of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and reforecasts in a private equity operating environment.
- Build and maintain long-term financial models supporting strategic planning, value creation initiatives, and exit readiness.
- Develop scenario and sensitivity analyses focused on growth, margin expansion, cost structure, EBITDA, and cash flow.
- Model key SaaS drivers including ARR, MRR, bookings, churn, retention, expansion, pricing, and unit economics.
Corporate & Lender Reporting
- Work with the Accounting team to prepare quarterly and annual corporate reporting packages for executive leadership and lender calls.
- Work with the Accounting team to produce lender reporting in accordance with credit agreements, including covenant calculations, compliance schedules, and supporting analyses.
- Partner with Accounting to ensure alignment between cash flow forecasts, actual results, and debt requirements.
Monthly Close & Variance Analysis
- Perform detailed monthly variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior periods, with a focus on SaaS and healthcare performance drivers.
- Analyze revenue performance, gross margin, operating expenses, and cash flow trends.
- Partner with Accounting during month-end close to ensure alignment between actual results, SaaS metrics, and FP&A models.
Analysis & Decision Support
- Support private equity value creation initiatives through rigorous financial analysis related to growth acceleration, margin improvement, cost optimization, and capital allocation.
- Provide financial insights to support pricing decisions, go-to-market investments, product initiatives, and operational efficiency efforts.
- Create executive-ready presentations and financial narratives that link financial outcomes to business performance.
- Continuously improve FP&A processes, reporting, and models to support scalability and automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles, preferably in SaaS, healthcare, or technology.
- Strong financial modeling experience, including long-term and scenario-based modeling, EBITDA, revenue and margin bridges and cash flow forecasting.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with FP&A systems and ERP platforms strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of SaaS revenue models, subscription economics, and financial statements.
- Experience preparing lender reporting and managing covenant compliance.
- CPA, CFA, or MBA.
- Experience supporting executive leadership, board reporting, or private equity–backed organizations.
- Familiarity with healthcare industry dynamics, regulatory considerations, or healthcare SaaS business models.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
