Collections Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will focus on managing business-to-business collections while utilizing advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to handle a high volume of accounts efficiently.

Responsibilities:

- Manage business-to-business collections for a portfolio averaging 286 accounts.

- Utilize Excel tools, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables, to analyze and track collections data.

- Conduct virtual training sessions to onboard and guide team members as needed.

- Ensure timely follow-ups and resolutions for outstanding payments.

- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies.

- Maintain accurate records of collections activities and account statuses.

- Develop strategies to improve collection processes and reduce overdue accounts.

- Communicate professionally with clients and stakeholders to negotiate payment terms.

- Adhere to company policies and compliance standards in all collections activities. Requirements - 3-5 years of experience in commercial or consumer collections.

- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.

- Strong knowledge of credit and collection processes.

- Ability to manage a high volume of accounts efficiently and accurately.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.

- Familiarity with virtual training methods and tools.

- Commitment to maintaining compliance with company policies and industry standards.
