• Develop and implement the Company’s investment strategy consistent with risk appetite and capital objectives.
• Construct and manage a diversified fixed income–focused portfolio aligned with liability duration.
• Optimize yield while preserving capital and liquidity.
• Monitor credit risk, duration risk, convexity, and spread exposure.
• Evaluate alternative asset allocations, as requested.

• Align investment duration with loss reserve and premium liability profiles.
• Conduct interest rate and liquidity stress testing.
• Coordinate with Actuarial and Accounting on cash flow forecasting.
• Support capital adequacy and surplus protection.

• Select and oversee third‑party asset managers.
• Monitor performance against benchmarks and guidelines.
• Lead quarterly performance reviews.
• Negotiate investment management agreements and fee structures.
• Ensure compliance with:
  Board‑approved Investment Policy Statement (IPS), NAIC statutory investment regulations, SEC reporting standards.
• Prepare materials for:
  Board of Directors, Audit Committee.
• Maintain strong internal controls over investment reporting (SOX compliance).

• Oversee GAAP and statutory investment reporting.
• Support 10‑Q, 10‑K, and earnings disclosures.
• Coordinate with external auditors.
• Analyze unrealized gains/losses, impairments, and portfolio yield metrics.

• Support Demotech and other rating agency reviews.
• Monitor RBC ratios and capital sensitivity to investment risk.
• Model impact of investment strategy on surplus and book value.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field required; MBA or CFA preferred.
• 8+ years of insurance investment management experience.
• Experience supporting a publicly traded or IPO‑stage company.

• Strong knowledge of fixed income markets, insurance statutory accounting, GAAP financial reporting, NAIC investment regulations, and asset‑liability management principles.
• Ability to clearly define and articulate investment strategy and risk posture.
• Exceptional governance and documentation skills.
• Ability to operate effectively under heightened transparency and scrutiny.
• High level of judgment, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Excellent business and insurance acumen.
• Experience supporting Board and investor‑facing financial materials.
• Strategic financial thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial drivers into clear business insights.
• Expert user of MSO/365 applications such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
