Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the position is responsible for a range of accounting activities, including managing financial transactions and ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with regulations. This role assists with the month-end accounting close process, including partnering with third parties for audit requests, reconciling various general ledger accounts and assisting with accounts payable/ receivable.

Additionally, this position analyzes financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, develops financial models to support forecasting and budgeting activities, and prepares financial statements and reports for key stakeholders.

Qualifications include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent combination of years of experience with High School diploma/GED)
  • 2+ years' experience in the accounting/ finance field
  • 1+ years' experience in the mortgage industry, preferred
  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Knowledge of state-specific requirements
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Experience in Net Suite or similar software, preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Good judgment with the ability to evaluate and make decisions
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Customer service/ client orientation with strong execution skills and results orientation
  • Ability to prioritize numerous tasks and manage shifting priorities

Compensation
  • The hiring range for this position is between $55,000.00-$60,000.00 annually
  • This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
