Overview
A growing specialty insurance organization is seeking a Vice President of Actuarial Services to lead pricing, reserving, forecasting, and risk strategy for its commercial casualty portfolio. This executive role partners closely with leadership to drive profitability, ensure reserve adequacy, and support strategic decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities- Lead actuarial strategy, including pricing, reserving, and financial forecasting
- Oversee rate adequacy, underwriting profitability, and loss trends
- Direct reserve analyses (IBNR, ultimate losses) and present recommendations to leadership
- Support budgeting, financial planning, and profitability analysis
- Advise on reinsurance structure and enterprise risk management
- Ensure regulatory compliance and actuarial governance standards
- Drive innovation in analytics, modeling, and reporting tools
- Lead and develop actuarial team while collaborating cross‑functionally
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- FCAS preferred (ACAS considered)
- 10+ years of actuarial experience in P&C, with commercial casualty focus
- Leadership experience in pricing, reserving, and forecasting
- Strong business acumen and communication skills
