Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate monthly and quarterly close procedures.

• Prepare, review and distribute of monthly financial statement packages for senior finance leadership and
stakeholders

• Oversee and maintain day-to-day accounting processes including posting journal entries and preparing general
ledger, balance sheet reconciliations.

• Improve accounting and reporting processes to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with internal
controls

• Review of revenue recognition and working papers related to ticketing, retail, Sponsorship, and 50/50

• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and budget-to-actual variance analysis to ensure accurate and reliable
accounting records across the portfolio

• Evaluate financial reporting systems and general ledger reporting; design and implement improvements that
support operational and financial reporting needs

• Collaborate when needed with University Financial Planning & Analysis team to support the annual budget
preparation.

• Collaborate when needed with the University Finance Treasury team to support cash flow preparation and analysis

• Assist in revenue share reconciliations.

• Support as needed the preparation of NCAA Annual Report

• Assists with annual financial statement audit, including preparation and review of audit working papers

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business. CPA designation (Active or Eligible) is preferred.
  • Minimum three Years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience with computerized accounting software (i.e. Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains,
    Workday, etc.) and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and
    continuous improvement.
  • Excellent financial reporting and analytical skills.
  • Detail focused, strong business acumen and well versed in financial analysis.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with staff
    and 3rd party managers
  • Understanding of concepts and underlying details, ability to identify errors, and foresight to
    strategize and make decisions with consideration to both operational and financial implications
  • Level 1 Criminal Background Check is required
Degree Equivalency Clause:
Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree.

• Minimum Qualifications that require a high school diploma are exempt from SB 1310.
