In this role, you will provide comprehensive auditing and accounting services to support fraud investigations surrounding intricate financial transactions and organizations attempting to hide their activities. Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough analysis and audits of diverse accounting systems.
- Organize and present extensive data, including bank and financial records, healthcare claims, tax records, and more, utilizing common software tools.
- Support investigation planning by performing comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify potential witnesses and key financial documents.
- Prepare clear and precise analytical reports, including detailed charts, summaries, and schedules as needed.
- Engage with representatives from financial institutions and Certified Public Accountants during interviews and conferences.
- Leverage electronic databases to uncover assets, documents, and other relevant evidence.
- Assess the financial capability of individuals or corporations to comply with monetary penalties based on disclosures and independent investigations.
- Assist in various investigation-related tasks, which include:
- Drafting and coordinating technical audit guidelines for financial audits.
- Compiling interim and final reports throughout the investigative process.
- Storing and organizing documentary evidence securely and systematically.
- Analyzing documents and physical evidence, as well as creating visual materials for motions and trials.
- Collaborating with designated federal agency personnel, state and local officials throughout the investigation.
- Performing related duties as assigned.
- Four‑year undergraduate degree or higher in statistical/data analysis, finance, accounting, fraud examination, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, fraud examination, or statistical/data analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain necessary background investigation adjudication.
- Demonstrated experience and expertise relevant to the required services.
