Role

The Tampa, Florida office of Milliman, an international firm of actuaries and consultants, is seeking a candidate for an actuarial internship beginning May 2026. In this role, the intern will be exposed to projects across all aspects of the health actuarial space. The successful candidate will review, organize, and analyze statistical data; develop and utilize actuarial models; analyze healthcare costs and utilization data;

implement software solutions under actuaries' supervision. The intern will also assist our Analysts and Consultants in the development, checking, and utilization of actuarial models to further completion of timely deliverables.

Job description
  • Review, organize and analyze statistical data
  • Develop and utilize actuarial models

Qualifications
  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
  • Planned graduation in 2025 or 2026
  • GPA 3.5 or above
  • Proficient in MS Excel; SAS and VBA programming knowledge a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good attitude and strong work ethic required

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $21.00 - $35.00/hr., depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc.

Location

This role is onsite out of the Milliman office in Tampa, FL. The expected Final date to receive applications for this job is October 31, 2025.
