The Company is backed by a distinctive private equity firm that invests in mid-market companies across several sectors, including Healthcare. The company has headquarters operations in the Greater Orlando area, currently includes 10+ practices, and is targeting significant expansion of the business through organic growth, M&A, and de novos. This position is based in Central Florida, so the candidate can reside in Orlando, Tampa or Sarasota.
We had the great pleasure of partnering with the sponsor to identify the CEO and are now working to identify their first VP Finance in preparation for future growth.
As a growing, private equity-backed company, the Company is seeking an experienced Vice President of Finance to play a critical role in driving financial and operational performance. S/he will build a culture of continuous improvement in accounting and finance. The VP of Finance will serve as the primary accounting partner for corporate and field operations while delivering high-quality financial information in a timely, accurate, and transparent manner.
POSITIONRESPONSIBILITIES
- Own financial reporting for internal (Board) and external (lender) audiences.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Leads and manages the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
- Manage revenue accounting, including revenue recognition policies and procedures.
- Oversee bad debt reserves, write-offs, accruals, and balance sheet management, ensuring financial accuracy and appropriate provisions.
- Reviews financial details from past, present, and forecasted and budgeted operations; identifies development opportunities and improvements that can be made.
- Lead acquisition integrations, including purchase accounting, opening balance sheet, and ongoing financial consolidation and operations.
- Work closely with M&A teams to ensure seamless financial transitions and alignment with company policies.
- Ensure acquired entities adhere to company financial standards, policies, and reporting structures.
- Oversee cash flow forecasting and liquidity management to optimize working capital.
- Manage banking relationships, treasury operations, and capital planning.
- Optimize cash collection rates and monitor cash triangles to ensure strong cash flow performance.
- Build a culture of continuous improvement in Accounting and Finance.
- Improve close cycle time from 10-15 business days to ~5 business days
- Reduce bottleneck of monthly close checklist
- Expand and add necessary detail to chart of accounts to create more visibility into business results
- Partner with team on group and company-wide goals and initiatives.
- Develop, establish, and maintain financial accounting systems & controls to verify the integrity of all processes and data.
- Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.
- Create, publish and manage policies including T&E, corporate card, and a company-wide delegation of authority matrix and associated policy.
- CPA and a minimum of 10 years' experience are required.
- Experience in multi-site healthcare provider organization and private equity environment.
- Experience with working in leveraged companies.
- Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail, bias towards action, and unwavering ethical standards.
- Ability to build credibility with operators and drive respect for company policies.
- Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.
- A desire to be challenged; a desire to "take on more" while realistic in expectation-setting.
- Desire to "build something" and an interest in being part of a growth company.
- Experience implementing an ERP is a plus.
- Strong presence and stakeholder management skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
