Analyst, Commercial Loan OperationsAs an analyst within the Commercial Loan Operations team, you will have responsibilities related to process improvement/project and initiative work. The individual will drive strategic change on behalf of the CLO organization, which has day-to-day operational responsibilities across the portfolio of syndicated credit facilities where MUFG acts as Administrative Agent, Bilateral Lender, or Participant/Member to a syndicated transaction. The analyst will regularly liaise with Agency and Member servicing teams, Middle Office, Control and Assurance, as well as other Operations and Tech business partners.
The work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
- Support the Sr. Project Lead in developing key project materials, including business requirements, UAT test scripts, executive status reports, and other documentation.
- Perform data gathering and analysis to support business discussions (e.g., compiling operational inputs, summarizing observations, organizing SME feedback)
- Conduct complex data analysis to identify opportunities for improvement within Commercial Loan Operations.
- Create detailed process flow diagrams using Microsoft Visio to illustrate current and future state workflows.
- Support UAT testing for medium to large-scale initiatives by executing test cases, consolidating results and evidence, and escalating issues to the Sr. Project Lead.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external business partners to ensure alignment and timely delivery of project deliverables.
- Minimum 1 year of banking experience; syndicated lending experience preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Knowledge of LoanIQ preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $67K - $87K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonuses and/or incentive compensation.
