Plant Controller

Overview

Plant Controller position in manufacturing with 401(k) match and comprehensive benefits. The role provides financial leadership and oversees all aspects of financial management including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and internal controls.

• Oversee all financial operations of the plant, including finance, accounting, budgeting, insurance, internal controls, and auditing.
• Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP and IFRS.
• Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare all information for the annual audit and liaise with external auditors.
• Create and evaluate financial programs and supporting information systems including budgeting, tax planning, real estate, and asset conservation.
• Approve and coordinate changes and improvements in automated financial and management information systems.
• Oversee production of weekly and monthly reports, year-to-year financial comparisons, and revenue forecasting.
• Work with operational teams to identify business and process improvement opportunities.
• Provide strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance and new business opportunities.
• Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CMA highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5–9 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS; budgeting and cost control principles.
• Proficient in financial forecasting, modeling, and analysis.
• Experience in the food and beverage industry is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to drive results.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial planning software.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports, statements, and projections.
• Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and urgency with results orientation.
• High integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency.
