Our Finance team is responsible for ensuring accurate financial operations and plays a crucial role in managing the Firm's financial health. Our team handles a wide range of financial activities including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, partner compensation, payroll, treasury and cash flow management to support the Firm's strategic goals. We are responsible for inventory management including billing and collections, and analysis of client, matter and timekeeper profitability.
We oversee statutory accounting and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. The Finance team also prepares financial statements, reports and analysis to provide insights into the Firm's financial performance. We work closely with other functions to monitor expenses, optimize financial processes and implement cost-saving initiatives. Through meticulous financial management and strategic planning, the Finance team ensures the Firm's financial stability and supports its growth objectives.
Summary
The Senior Analyst, Tax is an integral part of our Global Tax & Compliance function. This function prepares the Firm's US tax filings, manages the payment of the Partners' taxes in the 30+ countries in which the Firm operates, and works with management to ensure the Firm and each of its offices is in compliance with the relevant local tax rules.
The Senior Analyst, Tax is involved in all aspects of tax compliance, partner tax and capital accounts reconciliations and other related analysis and reporting. Senior Analyst, Tax interacts and helps colleagues and stakeholders in the U.S. as well as in global offices of the Firm to deliver timely work product with highest quality and accuracy. They help others within the tax team and beyond to deepen their expertise, share knowledge, and upskill.
This position requires an ability to work independently and diligently in a fast-paced, global and dynamic environment where attention to detail, analytical skills and strong communication skills are essential.
- Prepare various schedules and work papers in the preparation of Firms Partnership Tax Returns (All Jurisdictions)
- Maintain the Firm's legal entities and tax organizational charts
- Analyze transactions and prepare work papers for book to tax differences
- Prepare and or review non-income tax returns and related schedules (insurance, property tax, sales tax)
- Work and supervise Tax Team Members in preparation of Partners K-1's and all supporting spread-sheets
- Review various checklists and account reconciliations as prepared by other Tax Team members such as forms and elections, charitable contributions, membership fees and partner costs schedules.
- Provide Quarterly and Year-end Tax Estimates to the Partners
- Calculate quarterly estimated tax payments and tax extensions as required
- Gather information as requested by non-US offices for foreign tax reporting
