Position Description
The Analyst/Associate will support the firm’s fund finance, liquidity management, and financial analytics functions across its private credit strategies. The role will have significant responsibility for monitoring and managing fund-level financing facilities, including subscription lines, NAV facilities, warehouse facilities, and other forms of fund leverage.
The individual will work closely with the Finance, Investment, Operations, Legal, and Investor Relations teams, as well as external lenders and service providers. The ideal candidate will combine strong financial modeling and analytical skills with an understanding of private fund structures, credit agreements, borrowing base mechanics, liquidity management, and portfolio-level cash flows.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the ongoing management of fund-level financing facilities, including subscription credit facilities, NAV facilities, warehouse lines, and other financing arrangements.
- Build and maintain models to forecast fund liquidity, borrowing needs, investment funding requirements, repayments, capital calls, distributions, interest expense, and other sources and uses of cash.
- Monitor borrowing availability across fund financing facilities and prepare borrowing base calculations, utilization analyses, and related lender reporting.
- Track and evaluate compliance with financial covenants, borrowing base requirements, concentration limits, advance rates, asset eligibility criteria, minimum liquidity requirements, and other terms contained in financing agreements.
- Maintain detailed models of fund leverage, including outstanding borrowings, available capacity, interest expense, facility pricing, maturity dates, amortization requirements, and other key terms.
- Prepare analyses to support borrowing and repayment decisions, including evaluating the relative economics of utilizing financing facilities versus calling investor capital.
- Develop and maintain cash flow and liquidity forecasts at the fund and vehicle level, incorporating expected portfolio investment activity, scheduled and anticipated repayments, interest collections, fees, fund expenses, investor capital activity, and debt service.
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess liquidity and leverage under different deployment, repayment, interest rate, portfolio performance, and fundraising assumptions.
- Support fundraising and investor relations activities by preparing analyses related to fund leverage, liquidity, portfolio performance, and fund-level financing.
- Partner with Operations, Finance, and Technology teams to improve data infrastructure, automate recurring reporting processes, and enhance the firm’s ability to monitor fund liquidity and leverage in real time.
- Support ad hoc analyses related to fund performance, portfolio valuations, financing strategy, capital structure, investment activity, and other strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in private credit, private equity, fund finance, investment banking, leveraged finance, structured finance, corporate finance, valuation, or a related financial role. Title level will be adjusted based on experience.
- Strong financial modeling skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel and experience building and maintaining complex financial models.
- Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting, debt structures, interest calculations, financial statements, and credit analysis.
