Accounts Receivable Representative

Bates Electric, Inc. is a leading electrical contracting firm recognized for its dedication to quality, customer service, and professional installations. With operations spanning several metropolitan areas, we specialize in commercial and industrial electrical services. We are currently seeking a proactive and meticulous AR Collections Coordinator to enhance our finance team.

• Collections & Customer Interaction:
  * Proactively manage accounts receivable collections by communicating with clients via phone, email, and other channels to secure timely payments.
  * Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to billing and payments, providing excellent customer service.
• Cash Applications & Reporting:
  * Handle daily cash applications, record bank deposits, and update cash receipt logs.
  * Perform daily AR reporting and reconciliations.
• Documentation & Compliance:
  * Maintain detailed records of all collection efforts for legal, audit, and compliance purposes.
  * Generate Notices to Owner (NTO) for applicable jobs.
  * Collect lien releases and sign partial lien waivers as required.
  * Process credit card payments as needed.

• Experience: 1–2 years in accounts receivable, collections, or a similar finance role (construction industry experience preferred).

  * Proficient with accounting software (Jonas Construction software experience a plus).
  * MS Outlook (email, contacts, calendar), MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Access (custom applications).
• Soft Skills:

  * Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  * Analytical mindset and ability to work effectively under deadlines.
