OverviewThe Ascendancy Group is seeking experienced professionals to support the USSOCOM Directorate of Operations (J3), J3-International (J3-I) Division, in advancing collaboration, interoperability, and strategic engagement across the global Special Operations community. J3-I strengthens alliances, enhances multinational readiness, and supports USSOCOM’s network of Special Operations Liaison Officers while integrating insights from Allied and Partner Nation SOF into enterprise planning. This effort directly contributes to the development of an international SOF Common Operating Picture and enables partners to deter in competition, respond in crisis, and prevail in conflict.
Team members will play a key role in supporting international engagement programs, managing strategic relationships, and ensuring world-class support to international SOF representatives assigned to USSOCOM. This support role provides targeted expertise to assist J3-I with international operations and planning during peak activity periods, including major events like SOF Week. The position enhances planning capacity, accelerates coordination with partner nations and internal stakeholders, and ensures operational requirements are met during high-demand cycles.

Security RequirementActive Secret clearance.
Roles and Responsibilities- Provide planning expertise in support of planning and coordinating international engagement events, seminars, and conferences.
- Provide support to the management of operations section/center procedures to include but not limited to battle tracking, battle rhythm events and management.
- Assist in the development and preparation of briefings, presentation, after action reports, lessons learned and readouts of events.
- Assist in the coordination, planning and execution of international bilateral and multilateral engagements.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2 years’ experience working at a TSOC or higher-level command.
- 2 years’ experience planning and/or managing military operations.
- 1 year experience in a multinational environment. Experience can be military, academic, business, non-governmental organization, or with another agency of the US Government.
