Job DescriptionThe Senior International Relations Strategy SME supports J3‑I executive‑level multinational engagements through research, planning, correspondence, briefing materials, itinerary development, and coordination across DoD, embassies, and partner nations. The role advises leadership on international engagement strategy and requires a master’s in international security studies, senior COCOM‑level experience, and current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Summaryof Duties
Develops international engagement strategies, prepares briefing materials and correspondence, advises leaders, coordinates across offices and partner nations, and supports event execution and security procedures.
- Researches and prepares read‑ahead packages for senior international engagements.
- Drafts and recommends international engagement strategies supporting command objectives.
- Advises leadership on bilateral and multilateral international engagements.
- Reviews and supports drafting of official international correspondence.
- Responds to leadership RFIs on International Key Leader Engagements.
- Coordinates with J2, J3, and J5 action groups on engagement priorities.
- Maintains awareness of current U.S. international relations policy and strategy.
- Master’s degree in International Security Studies.
- Recent experience within the last 3 years developing, coordinating, and executing strategic‑level engagements on a Commander’s Action Group at the Combatant Command/4‑star level.
- One year of recent experience developing, coordinating, and executing strategic‑level engagements on a Commander’s Action Group or as a Political Advisor at the COCOM/TSOC level.
- Three years of experience using analytic and communication skills to prepare staff and coordinate written products and briefings for senior leader use.
- Three years of recent experience developing business and communication strategies intended to achieve strategic objectives.
- Current DoW Top Secret clearance and eligibility for SCI access.
- Experienced planner with excellent writing and communications skills.
- Resume required for key personnel.
