Job ObjectiveUnder a five‑year contract the Strategy and Policy Analyst will support the United States Marine Corps Forces, Central Command (MARCENT) and subordinate commands. The role provides professional services for MARCENT located aboard Mac Dill Air Force Base (AFB), Florida, which serves as a component of U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM). The analyst assists the Plans and Policy Directorate (G‑5) in joint‑level and service‑level planning, crisis action planning, force deployment planning, Information Operations (IO), Special Technical Operations (STO)/Special Access Programs (SAP), command strategy and policy generation, doctrine review and analysis, and requirements development, validation and prioritization.
Responsibilities- Provide strategy and policy analysis services to ensure MARCENT strategy and policy is aligned with Combatant Command, Service, and National level strategy and policy.
- Assist in the development of the command's strategy, policy, campaign plans, posture plans, programs, and requirements.
- Maintain contact with and monitor development of CENTCOM, Joint, and Service level doctrine to ensure component level approval and compliance.
- Develop assessments, information papers, and briefs, and facilitate coordination between staff sections and action officers to support strategy and policy refinement.
- Write component‑level information and position papers on Joint and HQMC strategy and concept development topics.
- Assist in development of Executive Off Site (EOS), CENTCOM Commander's Conference (CCC), and additional component‑level presentations for COMUSMARCENT.
- Participate in internal MARCENT Operational Planning Teams and working groups.
- Current U.S. passport with ability to travel and work overseas.
- Meet COMSEC briefing and Local Element management certification requirements under OPNAVINST 2201.4, DoD Instruction 8523.01, and Air Force Manual 17‑1301.
- Complete in‑scope favorable ST5 investigation and be adjudicated for SCI eligibility by the DoD Central Adjudication Facility without conditions, exceptions, or waivers at time of performance and maintain required security level for contract duration.
- Higher education degree in a relevant field preferred or military experience as a Strategist, SAMs, or SAW graduate.
- Possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
- Based at MARCENT, Mac Dill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida.
- Contractor personnel must be prepared to travel within MARCENT AOR, including but not limited to Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Israel, Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Djibouti, Cyprus, Turkey, Italy, and Greece.
- Availability for travel with less than 24‑hour notice for personnel recovery and training for forward‑deployed forces is required.
