EEC Solutions is looking for a Senior International Relations Strategy SME for the USSOUTHCOM J3-I Engagements Branch & International Engagement Directorate. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Position DescriptionThe Senior International Relations Strategy SME supports the J3-I Engagements Branch in planning, coordinating, and executing multilateral events and multinational conferences. The SME provides research, planning, staffing, official correspondence, itinerary development, briefing and read-ahead preparation, coordination, and execution support while working across DoD, U.S. Embassies, and partner nations worldwide. The position requires an experienced strategic planner with excellent writing and communication skills.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis position is in charge of:
- Researching and preparing readahead packages (average up to 4 per month), including strategic objectives, key themes/messages, talking points, biographies, prior conference readouts, and supporting documents for J3 Directorate and Command Group international engagements.
- Drafting and recommending international engagement strategy for the Division, Directorate, and Command Group to support Command objectives.
- Providing international relations expertise and advice to leadership regarding bilateral and multilateral engagements.
- Providing quality assurance, expertise, and support for international correspondence.
- Respond to RFIs regarding International Key Leader Engagements.
- Coordinating with J2, J3, and J5 Directors' Action Groups on command priorities and engagement strategies.
- Maintaining awareness and expertise regarding current U.S. international relations policy and strategy.
- Performing closeout and escort duties under Division Security Procedures.
- Master's degree in international security studies;
- Recent strategic level engagement experience on a Combatant Command/4star Commander’s Action Group;
- At least 1 year recent CAG or Political Advisor experience at COCOM/TSOC level;
- 3 years preparing written products and briefings for GO/FO/SES senior leaders;
- 3 years recent business and communication strategy experience;
- Current DoW Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
