Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-centered licensed Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy Assistant with Lymphedema Therapy certification in the Tampa area to provide complete decongestive therapy in patients’ homes. You will deliver client-centered, effective treatment that promotes independence in everyday activities. A holistic perspective and adaptability are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills
  • Designs appropriate plans of care, including type and frequency of treatment
  • Implements treatment plans using appropriate modalities
  • Documents patient progress
  • Plans and assists with patient discharge from therapy services and provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs
  • Guide and educate family members and caregivers
  • Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals
  • Collect data and document processes followed
  • Regularly follow-up client
Qualifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current valid State license as a Physical Therapist/Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Certified Lymphedema Therapist
  • Professional Liability Insurance
  • Active license to practice physical therapy and licensure in accordance with state requirements
Skills
  • Proven work experience as Certified Lymphedema Therapist
  • Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of lymphedema therapy
  • Hands-on experience with measuring patients
  • Knowledge of the different garments available
  • Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
  • Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession
  • Professional behaviour
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Valid license to practice physical therapy
