Pay: $35–$45 per hour, based on experience
OverviewLMG Primary Care is seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in our office on a PRN basis. This role is essential in supporting patient diagnosis and treatment planning in a primary care setting. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach. Experience in vascular, OB/GYN, and general diagnostic ultrasound is highly preferred.
DutiesAnd Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including vascular, OB/GYN, and general imaging as ordered by providers.
- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort and safety.
- Operate ultrasound equipment accurately while adhering to safety, aseptic, and infection control protocols.
- Evaluate images for quality and diagnostic accuracy; make technical adjustments as needed.
- Document examination findings clearly and communicate results effectively with physicians and clinical staff.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper cleaning, sterilization, and functionality.
- Collaborate with providers and clinical team members to deliver high-quality, coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Prior experience in sonography, medical imaging, or diagnostic radiology preferred.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to ultrasound imaging.
- Strong understanding of aseptic technique and infection control standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated professionalism, attention to detail, and compassion in patient care.
This PRN position is ideal for a motivated ultrasound professional seeking flexible scheduling while contributing high-quality diagnostic imaging services in a primary care environment.
