Front End Medical Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Front End Medical Assistant to provide high-quality patient care and ensure a safe and welcoming environment for patients. You will play a crucial role in maintaining office and exam room cleanliness, adhering to infection control policies, and ensuring appropriate supplies and equipment are available for patient care.

• Greet and assist patients in a professional, friendly manner while managing appointment scheduling, phone calls, and front-desk operations.

• Perform and document patient intake vitals, including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate.

• Notify clinicians of any abnormal findings during vital checks.

• Interview patients based on age appropriateness or specialty needs and accurately update medical records.

• Document the chief complaint, current medications, medication and food allergies, and medical, surgical, family, and social histories.

• Obtain necessary medical records, consultation notes, and diagnostic and laboratory results for clinician review.

• Prepare patients for clinician examinations and ensure clinician orders are performed and accurately documented.

• Assist clinicians with vision and hearing screenings, electrocardiograms, suture removal, ear lavages, urine cauterization, ear piercing, wound care, specialty procedures, and emergency responses under supervision.

• Proficiency in medical assisting and phlebotomy.

• Strong customer service skills.

• Experience in clinic environments is preferred.

• Knowledge of infection control policies and procedures.

This position is based in a clinic environment with a schedule that includes every other Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and every other Saturday from 7:45 AM to 12:30 PM.

This is a Permanent position based out of Tampa, FL.

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $43000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Tampa,FL.

This position is anticipated to close on Feb 27, 2026.
